Join the authors for a Book Party and Discussion of "Our Veterans: Winners, Losers, Friends, and Enemies on the New Terrain of Veterans Affairs" on Monday, September 12, at 5:30 PM at
Still North Books & Bar
3 Allen St.
Hanover, NH
The New York Times Book Review just hailed Our "Veterans" as a "chilling account of the physical, economic, and psychological consequences of military service on veteran health and a critical look at the many players involved in shaping veteran life in the United States."
Please join local author Jasper Craven and coauthors Suzanne Gordon and Steve Early for a discussion of these and related issues at Still North—or order a copy from them at: https://www.stillnorthbooks.com/
Speakers will include healthcare reformers, local labor activists and advocates and VA care-givers for veterans, along with "Our Veterans" co-authors:
Suzanne Gordon, co-founder of the Veterans Healthcare Policy Institute and author of many books, including, Wounds of War: How the VA Delivers Health, Healing, and Hope to the Nation's Veterans.
Steve Early, a longtime CWA organizer in New England, co-founder of Labor for Bernie, and the author of four previous books about labor and politics.
Jasper Craven, a freelance journalist and Vermont native who has reported on military and veterans affairs for VT Digger, New York Times, American Prospect, The Atlantic, New Republic, The Baffler, and many others. Jasper is a graduate of St. Johnsbury Academy and Boston University.
