The volunteers who have been working to create a pollinator-friendly flower garden at the new Pownal Town Hall are hosting a community event on Saturday, September 10 from 11:00am to 1:00pm and you are warmly welcome! The event is free and open to all.
We will serve fall snacks and have activities for kids including rock painting, making and coloring "seed bombs", and bee-themed temporary tattoos - we hope to get started on a "kids garden" area, too! We'd also love to show any interested gardeners what's already in the ground and our ideas for Spring. Hope to see you there!
WHERE: Pownal Town Hall, 511 Center Street
WHEN: Saturday, September 10
TIME: 11:00 am to 1:00pm
GARDEN TOUR: Near the new Town Hall sign
KIDS ACTIVITIES: Down in the skate park area
If you'd be interested in volunteering to help with set-up that morning or with the children's activities at the event, please contact me, Margaret at: margaretcoady@gmail.com or 917-407-6543. If you can't make the event but would like to learn more about this project (which will continue in the Spring) please get in touch – no gardening or volunteer experience needed.
