Annual Montpelier River Cleanup
September 10, 2022, 8:30 - noon
Meet in front of City Hall, 39 Main Street

Volunteers are needed to help pull trash out of the North Branch and Winooski River in Montpelier.
Participants should be prepared to wade in the river and get wet and muddy, so wear shoes and clothes that can get wet.  Anyone under 18 should be accompanied by a parent or have a parent-signed liability waiver.
Volunteers are also needed before and after the event to move canoes.
For more information contact Shawn:  shawn@winooskiriver.org

Here is a wish list of help / items we're on the lookout for (in addition to volunteers to help collect trash):

Canoes and someone to haul / help haul them to and from the cleanup sites before and after the event

A canoe trailer

One or two canoe carts (those two-wheeled things you can use to portage canoes rather than carrying them)

People willing to serve as site captains at the cleanup sites.

Please contact Shawn at shawn@winooskiriver.org with information about any of the above items. Thank you!
