If you've visited the Craftsbury Academy Woodlot recently, you may have noticed blue paint on trees throughout the pine plantation. These trees have been marked for removal by the Orleans County Forester, as part of the implementation of the 2019 Forest Management Plan (see school website to review plan) developed for this land in coordination with Craftsbury students, the School Board, CA Woodlot Subcommittee, and the Craftsbury Academy Trustees. The trees marked with blue paint will be removed by students from the GMTCC Forestry Program, during the winter of 2022-23. To learn more about this work, as well as the management of the Craftsbury Academy Woodlot, please join us on September 12th, 2022 at 5PM at the woodlot parking area and kiosk.
