Hello neighbors!

The Chittenden Solid Waste District (CSWD), a trusted steward of Chittenden County's waste and recycling since 1987, is proposing to build a new recycling facility (known as a Materials Recovery Facility, or MRF) in Williston. Vermonters want to recycle and they want to recycle more but the current, outdated facility is inefficient and limits the amount we can recycle.

Please come ask questions and learn more about how this new and improved facility will allow Vermonters to recycle more and preserve precious landfill space–without increasing your taxes!--at a community forum CSWD is hosting for Charlotte, Shelburne, and Hinesburg residents.
