Hello folks. Sandglass Theater's biennial Puppets in the Green Mountains festival is back this year! The festival is scheduled from September 9th-18th 2022 at different venues in Putney and Brattleboro including The Latchis, Brattleboro Museum & Art Center, Next Stage Arts, New England Youth Theater, Hilltop Montessori School, The Hooker-Dunham Theater and of course, our very own Sandglass Theater. The festival line-up includes shows for kids, adults, families as well as workshops and forums about arts, culture and social causes. Our performing guest artists are traveling from Germany, Kenya, Czech Republic and Mexico, bringing their latest, most engaging pieces of work to us.
As part of the festival, we're also hosting free panel discussions called 'Access Through the Arts'. These free and public panels offer an opportunity to engage more intimately with international guest artists and contextualize the themes of the performances within work that is already being done in our community. Each of the panels will be facilitated by a representative from Youth 4 Change at the Root Social Justice Center. These panels will present our international guest artists and local community leaders in conversations about the intersection of their respective work.
We hope to see our Putney and Windham County neighbors at this year's festival. Find tickets on: https://puppetsinthegreenmountains.net/all-shows/
