Public Meeting to Discuss Spending Pandemic Relief Funds
Thursday, September 15, 2022 at 7pm – Historical Society Dining Room

As part of the US government's pandemic relief program (ARPA), the town of Middletown Springs has been awarded $223,596.68. The Selectboard must hold a public meeting to solicit ideas and project proposals to spend these federal dollars. Proposed projects will be considered alongside the list of projects the board and other town officials have deemed to be high priority.
The board has scheduled this public meeting for Thursday, September 15, 2022 at 7pm. The meeting will be held in the Historical Society Dining room and will also be accessible through Zoom. Links for the Zoom meeting will be posted the week of the 15th.

Projects currently under consideration for funding include:
• Subsidize the New Town Office Project
• Development of the West Street Site for Highway & Transfer Station Facilities
• Digitize Land Records
• Address Priorities outlined in our Local Hazard Mitigation Plan
• Address Library's accessibility needs
• Proposal for a Dual-Purpose Outdoor Learning Center & Community Space at the Elementary School

PLEASE JOIN US on Thursday, September 15 at 7pm to share your ideas and proposals, to lend your support to projects on this list, and to learn more about ARPA funds and how these funds can help to shape the future of Middletown Springs. All ideas and proposals are welcome. These funds have the potential to have lasting impact for our community. Your voice and input will help the Selectboard make the most informed decisions for putting this one-time windfall to the best use.
