What: Food Drive for Starksboro Food Shelf and Little Free Pantries

When: Saturday, September 3rd.

Where to Donate: The Town Transfer Station ("the Dump") from 8-11 a.m., the Starksboro Food Shelf from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and the old Jerusalem Schoolhouse in South Starksboro 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Help support your Starksboro neighbor's food security by donating to two organizations with one donation. All food items and cash/checks will be divided 50/50 between the Food Shelf and the New Community Project's (NCP) Little Free Pantry Program.

The Little Free Pantry Program has two free standing cabinets (one is located behind the Baptist Church in the center of town, and one is next to the Jerusalem Schoolhouse in South Starksboro) where people can access emergency food anytime of the day or night. The program was started to help ensure access to food when the town's two regular food programs (Town Food Shelf and NCP's Food Share) are closed.

The Starksboro Food Shelf is located in the old town office (next to the Post Office) and is open every second Wednesday of the month from 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM.

NCP's Food Share is located at the First Baptist Church in the village and is open every Sunday from 2:30 to 3PM.
