Hello astronomers!
The skies are looking clear for this coming Saturday evening, August 27, so join the Northeast Kingdom Astronomy Foundation for an evening of looking at the late summer skies! The Andromeda galaxy starts to become wonderfully visible, but lots of other celestial wonders are available, including Saturn! We'll also give tours of the Magnus / Wanzer 17" robotically controlled telescope inside the dome!
The nights are getting longer, so come join us at 9 PM! As always, park in the Peacham School parking lot and follow the yard lights as you walk up the hill to the observatory! To preserve our night vision, please leave your flashlights at home. Dress for temperatures about 20 degrees colder than the thermometer might say, and bug spray can be a good choice!
Watch www.facebook.com/nkaf.org for any late-breaking changes! We hope to see you there!
Clear Skies!
