You're all invited to a free concert at 7pm this Wednesday, August 24, at the band shell at Volunteers Green. Get with the program!

That program will include traditional American marches as usual. We'll also herald Roman warriors with Czech composer Fučík's Entry of the Gladiators March, which simultaneously summons clowns under the circus screamer arrangement titled Thunder and Blazes. The contemporary early 1900's novelty The Teddy Bears Picnic will invoke gaiety and nostalgia (or maybe creepiness, depending upon your childhood clown and teddy bear experiences). We'll also play 30's big band music, 60's show tunes, and more recent popular music, all the way up to the 80's!
