Greetings GIRL SCOUTS of the present, future and past,

Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains, Service Unit 244, invite all girls entering grades K through 5 and their parent/caregiver to join us at Button Bay Girl Scout Day, Saturday, August 27th NOON – 3pm (rain or shine) at Button Bay State Park. Fee is $5 and includes park admission, patch and snack. Make new friends, learn about Girl Scouting in Addison County, and speak with alumni who attended the national Girl Scout Roundup in 1962 when 10,000 girl scouts gathered at Button Bay! There will be a Girl Scout information meeting for adults. Dress to be outside with closed-toed shoes for walking and please bring a water bottle. Register at https://forms.gle/5QtU6RLfXAtXPH8R6. Although pre-registering (or email RSVP) is helpful, walk-ins on Saturday are also welcome.

If you can't join us on August 27th, but are interested in Girl Scouts, please reach out to Christine Gingras at gingras.christine@gmail.com. Ferrisburgh/Vergennes has two new troops in the works (K and 1st grade) and need girls and adult helpers to get them going! Space in older troops as well.

Lastly, Service Unit 244 could serve our local girls even better with a few more helping hands on deck. If you're a passionate Girl Scout alumni interested in helping the current program in any capacity, please reach out to me. Even just a few ladies (or men) who are background-checked and registered with the Girl Scouts to help at future events as available, would be helpful. Thanks for considering!
