Our second-to-last Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event is coming up!

Residents of CVSWMD member towns* are invited to join us on Saturday, August 27th from 9am-1pm at the Hardwick Town Garage to safely dispose of Household Hazardous Waste like chemical cleaners, old fuel, and pesticides. Look for warning words on product containers like Danger, Warning, Toxic, Hazard, Flammable, Poisonous, Reactive, or Corrosive. No containers larger than 15 gallons can be accepted at this collection; waste containers will not be returned. Keep all products in their original containers. All materials must be in trunk or bed of vehicle.

Fees: $20 per carload, cash or check only (in-district residents* only). Businesses must call 802-229-9383 x 100 to register by 4pm on Friday, August 19th. Businesses, towns, and schools must register 10 days in advance for HHW collections – mark your calendar for our last event of the season in Montpelier on October 29, please call to register before October 19 for the Montpelier collection if you are a business, town or school.

*This event is open to residents of the CVSWMD towns only: Barre City, Barre Town, Berlin, Bradford, Calais, Chelsea, Duxbury, East Montpelier, Fairlee, Hardwick, Middlesex, Montpelier, Orange, Plainfield, Tunbridge, Walden, Washington, Williamstown, and Woodbury.
