400 Miles Down the Connecticut River, New England's longest river, the Connecticut, is rich in history and New York Times bestselling author Michael Tougias will offer a narrated slide presentation that takes the viewer down the entire 410 miles of the river, discussing history from the days of loggers, Indian Wars, steamships, and canals. Suggestions for day trips and weekend outings are included.

Mr. Tougias is sponsored by Vermont Humanities and will be speaking at the Roger Clark Memorial Library in Pittsfield, VT, on August 24th with a start time of 6:00 PM.
