Please join to help polish and improve the recently built Nature Trail and prepare for the installation of a new Story Walk sponsored by the Friends of the Moretown Library.
Lightweight trail work from pruning and removing brush, to weed whacking and moving logs, and for those so inclined crushing some rock to smooth a few areas of the upper trail. The goal is to clean up the existing Nature Trail and add a small re route to the upper section to get it off the grass and into the woods around the septic.
Bring gloves, water, snack, your favorite tool, loppers, pruners, electric weedwhackers, chainsaw work if you're interested. If you are the rock crushing type, bring a sledge.
Meet Sunday August 21st at 8am at the Town Office / Moretown Elementary School parking lot. We hope to be done by 11am.
Your help this Sunday paves the way for more good things to come. The Friends of the Library will be installing the Story Walk in early September. And the Mad River Riders are funding efforts to enhance the skills park existing features as well as add some new exciting beginner lines. With MoreFest fast approaching it's a great time to show your Moretown pride, pitch in to help and then come back to celebrate!
Please RSVP if you can, email questions, or just surprise us and show up to help or heckle,
Chris Stephenson
