There will be a Household Hazardous Waste Day on September 3, 2022, at the Castleton Transfer Station for valid permit holders. The hours of the collection will be 7:30-10:30am. There is typically a line formed outside the gate before the collection event even starts, so I recommend you get in line early. The HHW collection rover has to be in Poultney at 11:00am, so there will be a cutoff time in Castleton so the collection personnel can end the collection process in Castleton and get to Poultney before 11:00am.

To ensure Transfer Station patrons can maximize the time of the collection on September 3rd, please have the Rutland County Solid Waste District's HHW Rover Event Resident Inventory List filled out prior to reaching the collection personnel. This saves a lot of time.
