Saturday, Aug. 20, will bring another fun contra dance, with a live band and a great caller. This time around, we'll have the ever-popular Luke Donforth calling, with music by Dave Langford, Glen Loper and Kristen Planeaux. As always, the dances will be at the Capital City Grange Hall, about 1 mile south of Montpelier at 6612 VT 12, Berlin VT 05602 for GPS directions.
Our dances start with an intro session for first time dancers and anyone who wants a refresher, starting about 7:40 PM, with the full dance starting at 8:00 PM, and continuing to 11:00. There will be a wide variety of folks to partner and dance with, all ages well represented in our welcoming dance community! Gender neutral role terms will be used. Admission is pay what you can: suggested $12 for adults, $5 for kids and low-income folks, and some "dance supporters" give us $20 to help us pay the callers, musicians and sound folks well. We appreciate everyone who comes!
COVID details: We require everyone to wear well-fitting, good quality N95, KN94/KN95 or medical/surgical masks. We'll give you a free mask if you need one. We also collect names and email addresses for contact tracing information, just in case.
