Please join Cabot Community Theater this Friday, August 19 at 4:30, as the actors in our summer theater camp perform world premieres of two one-act plays by the wonderful writer Colleen Hughes, who has collaborated with CCT to create plays uniquely suited for our program! The plays will be performed on the lawn outside the Cabot School Performing Arts Center--free for all, and no reservations or tickets are required. We will have chairs, or you may bring your own chairs or picnic blankets, or just sit on the grass!
Of course kids tell ghost stories at campfires in the summer, but what do ghost kids do? Tell human stories, of course! See what happens in "Legend of the Ghost Forest" with the younger camp group. The older actors will then perform "The Kids' Table," a gentle comedy about some cousins hanging out during a family wedding, working out their identities as they navigate the rocky path of early adolescence. Both plays are suitable for all audiences, though if you have very young kids, you are welcome to stay just for the first play. Each play is about 20 minutes long, and there will be a brief intermission.
The casts include Ada and Hollis Allen, Alexander and Ariabella Clayton, Mavis Hall, Autumn Hopkins, Aspen Long, Cora McIntyre, Bella Miller, Mary Rogerson, Gwyn Seifert, Lucas Smith, Aemilia Terrone, Jacob Tidd, Henry Torres, Freya Van Deusen, and Harrison Warner.
Come support these talented kids by seeing what they can do--you'll have a great time! (And there's a pulled pork community takeout supper at the Cabot Church right afterwards, so you don't even have to cook dinner after the show!)
