Elmore 5k Run/Walk - Front Porch Forum

Enjoy a morning chip timed 5K run or walk by the shores of beautiful Lake Elmore and in full view of Elmore Mountain! This family friendly course is mostly flat, out and back starting at the Elmore town garage and quickly proceeds on Beach Road past the Elmore State Park Beach House to Vermont RT 12. From there, it passes the historic Elmore Store and our one room school house (one of the last in Vermont). Look next to turn onto Camp Road, which provides constant views of Lake Elmore as it meanders past the beautiful lake front homes and camps that line the town maintained dirt road. At the end of Camp Road, just before the turn off for the boat launch, there will be a turn around that leads you back along Camp Road and lands you back at the town garage where there will be healthy snacks and local prizes from the much anticipated raffle.

Spend the rest of the day at your leisure taking in the Beauty Spot of Vermont. Enjoy the Elmore State Park, Lake Elmore, and Elmore's end of the season block party starting at 1:00PM at the Elmore Store. And don't forget the traditional fireworks over Lake Elmore after sunset!
