The Vermont Emergency Rental Assistance Program (VERAP) is a program run by the State of Vermont to assist renters facing financial challenges related to the COVID-19 global pandemic. If eligible for financial assistance, funds may be used to cover future rent payments, past due rent balances, and/or cover a portion of any past due and/or current utility payments.

There is broad eligibility for the program and we are encouraging all Vermonters who are currently renting to apply! Come to the Department of Labor in Burlington at 63 Pearl Street, Burlington, VT 05401 on Thursday, August 18th from 1-4 to receive assistance starting, completing, or re-certifying an application.
