Looking for rowers and paddlers:

Saturday Aug 27 (weather/rain date of Sunday Aug 28) the Lake Champlain Maritime Museum will hold its annual Challenge Race at the Lake Champlain Maritime Museum – 4472 Basin Harbor Rd. in Vergennes. The Challenge Race is a 3 mile triangular rowing/paddling race across the lake and then back to North Harbor. The course covers some of the most beautiful scenery on Lake Champlain. The race is open to all types of human powered boats- bring your own kayaks, canoes, paddleboats, paddle boards, row boats—whatever you can power yourself! This event has a $25.00 registration fee per person. Check in begins at 9:00 and the race starts at 11:00. Our Museum Community Rowers will provide a free lunch buffet for participants following the race.
