August book discussion will be on Wednesday, August 24 at 6 pm at the library. The book is a laugh-out-loud novel by Jonas Jonasson, The 100-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared. The hero of the story is Allan Karlsson who has had a life bigger than a tall -tale (which this is). He decides he is not ready to waste his days in a nursing home and on his 100th birthday he escapes to an adventure that leads him into appropriating a suitcase, running for his life, meeting an elephant and more hilarious adventures. A book just right for summer reading.
