Is your garden overflowing? Or perhaps you'd like to put aside some of the bounty at the Cabot Harvest Hub? Learn tips and tricks to saving this summer's harvest for the winter!

Join us Mondays, August 15, 22, and 29 from 5:30-7pm to learn from local farmers and homesteaders at the Neighbors in Action building at 3339 Main St., Cabot.

These are FREE workshops and all materials will be provided! Space is limited so please RSVP at www.neighborsinactionvt.org

Monday, August 15th: Learn how to freeze everything from yogurt to meat, the proper way to blanch and freeze veggies, and how to safely keep leftovers to have for later! Carrie Randolph of Hooker Mountain Farm & Distillery will give you all the insider tips on how she keeps her family of 7 well fed all year long.

Monday, August 22nd: Do you love the taste of fresh herbs but don't know how to save them? This promises to be a delicious addition to your kitchen!

Monday, August 29th: Fermentation is the ancient art of saving foods. From pickles to kimchi and more, this is the easiest way to "can" your garden produce! Ewa Senkowska will lead you in creating your own sauerkraut to take home and enjoy once it's finished fermenting.
