Here's a peek at our upcoming press release!
On Sunday, August 21 from 2:00 – 3:30 PM, the Wells Village Library invites you to Ethan & Ira: A Tale of the Green Mountain Boys – a two-man play by Vermont Kids History Live.
"It's a dialogue between Ethan Allen and his younger brother, Ira, that brings you dramatically through the narratives of their adventures at Ticonderoga, in British captivity, organizing and founding the State of Vermont," explains actor Zachary Zupan.
Since a young boy, Zachary has appeared in over two dozen plays. He has performed with the Dorset Players, Rutland Youth Theater, and Shakespeare on Main Street. He penned Ethan & Ira in the fall of 2020 and is currently working on another play about Calvin Coolidge.
Zachary is joined in his theatrical pursuits by his father, Lawrence. "Ever since performing the lead role of Henry Hudson at age 9 and Judah of the Maccabees at age 11, I've been part of many productions including Hunter College Theater Workshop in Streetcar Named Desire. I've also been the lead in several one act plays and portrayed five different characters in A Chritmas Carol Reader's Version. It's a joy to now be acting alongside my son."
The father-son acting duo is part of the non-profit Liberty Players. The 45 minute play will be followed by a question-and-answer session. There is no cost to attend and it will be held rain or shine either outside on the village green or inside the library.
