This is just a reminder about tomorrow's scheduled public hearing (at the Town Library) on the Planning Commission's draft amendments to Charlotte Land Use Regulations (LURs). The draft changes cover:
(A) Legislatively mandated changes
(B) Clarify existing standards
(C) Two sections of proposed new (or revised) policy & standards
(D) Minor technical updates and revised definitions
(E) Updates to reflect Charlotte's change to Development Review Board model
To prepare for thoughtful participation at the Aug. 9 hearing, the Commission encourages residents to review the documents posted to the following page on the town website about the draft LURs:
(at this link: https://bit.ly/PC_draft_2022_LURs_amendments).
Hard copies of all documents will be available at the hearing, and in advance, upon request. If you are unable to participate 'live' at this hearing, the Commission welcomes residents' feedback in writing. Please submit any written comments by the end of this coming weekend (Aug. 14) to allow sufficient time for the Planning Commission to review them prior to its next meeting.
Please contact Town Planner Larry Lewack via email at: townplanner@townofcharlotte.com or by phone at (802) 425-3533 ext. 206 if you have questions about any of these documents, or about this process.
