Past event
Jun 14 to 15, 2014

Vermont History Week-end June 14 and 15 featuring Vermont Civil War Hemlocks Encampment will be hosted by Morse Farm Maple Sugarworks on County Rd. in E. Montpelier. It will be co-sponsored by the Calais and East Montpelier Historical Societies. There will also be local Crafters featuring historical items. The event starts at 10 AM on both days, and admission is free. Watch for parking signs. There will be a march to the Cutler Cemetery at 1 PM on Sat., led by Elliott Morse, who will share stories of several Civil War Veterans buried in that cemetery.

The Vermont Civil War Hemlocks is one of the oldest Civil War living history organizations, and they are dedicated to proudly, and accurately, portraying the Common Vermont Infantry and Artillery soldier during the War of the Rebellion from 1861 to 1865.
