We would like to invite our community members, especially those from Bristol, Monkton, and New Haven, to join us on Sunday, August 7th from 7-8:30 pm for a virtual informational meeting about the August 9th vote on ratification of Starksboro's withdrawal from MAUSD. We believe a promise is a promise, that we and all the towns in MAUSD have the right under our articles of agreement to a town vote about school closure. However, we would all lose that right under the merger agreement should it pass in November. Our bid to withdraw is a bid for democracy, to preserve our right to vote. We will give a brief presentation followed by a question and answer period. Please join us so we can help to answer questions or concerns about Starksboro's withdrawal.
