Join us for a free workshop on developing habitat for pollinators on your own land. The workshop will demonstrate results from pollinator habitat plots started this past April, so you can see how we started a "bee pasture" as well as 2 additional pollinator plots with options including blueberries, cover crops, and flowering bushes with a goal of a low maintenance source of nectar for bees and butterflies. We will discuss plant choices for the NEK as well as advice on sustaining the plots. Laura Johnson, pollinator specialist from UVM Ag extension, Alicia Carlson and Lisa Sausville from Vermont Coverts, Woodlands for Wildlife will be there to help answer your questions on establishing habitat for the cornerstone of wildlife, our pollinators. This is not a gardening workshop, but you are welcome to bring flower and garden questions as well! Snapdragon Flower Farm, 521 Morrill Road Danville, VT 4-6 pm August 10th
