Windsor's First Annual Overdose Awareness Day
August 31st is International Overdose Awareness Day (IOAD). Please join us in raising awareness on overdose and substance use/prevention. Learn to recognize signs of an overdose and learn how to administer Narcan.
FREE Narcan kits including Fentanyl tests strips will be available.
We will be honoring those lost to overdose.
Please bring a photo of loved ones lost to overdose and light a candle of remembrance in their honor. (Candles will be provided)
This is a FREE EVENT and open to the public EVERYONE IS WELCOME!!
Wednesday August 31, 2022 5pm - 7 pm at the Windsor Common (on corner of Court & State St.)
In case of rain – event will be held at the Windsor Exchange (Depot St. behind restaurant)
Resources will be accessible along with representatives to consult. This event is in partnership with: Mt Ascutney Prevention Partnership, Turning Point Recovery Center, Mt Ascutney Hospital, Groups Recover Together, Connecticut Valley Addiction Recovery, SaVida Health
