Sunday 14 August, 1 p.m.
Silas Griffith Library ground floor, 74 S. Main St., Danby

Sergeant James William Bromley was one of the first men to enlist from the town of Danby to fight in the American Civil War. During his devoted service, he distinguished himself in over 30 pitched battles throughout the war, including: Gettysburg, the Battle of the Wilderness, Fredericksburg, and the Second Bull Run. This presentation will introduce one of Danby's most prominent war heroes and give honor to a man who made the ultimate sacrifice for his country.

On display will be Sgt. Bromley's identification tag, recently acquired by the Society.

All are welcome. Refreshments will be served.
