Invasive Plants Workshop: Find 'Em and Do 'Em In!
Bingham Memorial School Playground Tent
112 School Road, Cornwall, VT
On Saturday, August 13th (9:30-11:30 a.m.), the Cornwall Conservation Commission is sponsoring a workshop on identifying and removing invasive plant species, geared to people who want to get rid of them on their own property. Vermont F&W Habitat biologist Travis Hart will explain why invasives are harmful, show us how to identify them, and discuss the range of control methods available to landowners. Attendees will get a chance to try out special hand tools such as the "Uprooter" and the "Extractigator" which can be used to manually remove tough invasive species.
Participants are invited to bring a chair if they would like to sit during the first part of the workshop. For more information, contact mdodge@middlebury.edu
