The Bike Hub will be opening its doors at the Vermont Mill, 160 Benmont Ave, in Bennington with a soft launch on Saturday, August 6 from 10 AM to 2 PM. This will mainly be a chance for people to drop by and say hello, check out the growing inventory of cycling related gear, and bring bikes in for donation and/or repair. We are building up our inventory and getting our donation and repair service setup. Staff and volunteers will be on hand to help people get oriented to the shop and the Bike Hub plans while also helping people get the gear they need right now.

This new organization has formed as a non-profit organization and purchased the remaining assets of Highlander Bicycle Shop last month. The plan is to re-open the shop for sales and service this coming week and add community education and health initiatives to the mix this Fall.

The shop's hours will be Thursday through Saturday, 10 AM to 6 PM.

Donations of bicycles and associated gear are welcome and will be used to provide affordable cycling options for anyone in the community with interest. The Bike Hub is also actively seeking volunteers with interest in bicycle repair, shop operation, fundraising, education, outreach, and communications.
