Moments ago I received notice from the LBA board that they will now be holding their annual meeting virtually. They say, " Due to an increase in COVID-19 cases in the area the annual meeting will be held virtually on Sunday, August 14th, 1:00pm. Our number one priority is the health and safety of all members."

It should be noted that they just held the Bomopalooza event this past Saturday. Covid was around. They held their golf tournament. Covid was around. They held the July 4th events. Covid was around.

According to The NY Times Covid cases are down dramatically in Rutland County with ZERO new cases this week and an average of 5 cases overall.

It's obvious that after votes of no confidence from 4 municipalities, thousand of names on petitions, public hearings with overwhelming opposition to this board's actions, that this board does not want to publicly face its membership. This is a sad day for the LBA.
