Come join us at Bread Loaf View Farm (486 Cider Mill Rd in Cornwall) for our summer ice cream social during Open Farm Week.

The sugarhouse is open with all types of syrup products and pure maple ice cream made locally, topped with whipped cream and sprinkles of maple sugar.

Take a stroll through the sugarwoods trail and learn about the birds and animals that share their home with us as a working forest.

A special guest this year is Greg Pask, an Assistant Professor of Biology from Middlebury College who will present his research from the farm on winter fireflies. These beetles love maple sap and are some of the first insects to appear in the spring. Although a true firefly they actually do not have a flash, but Greg will let you in on their secret way of attracting a mate.
