This is our last class this summer! (Hopefully there will be more in the fall!) Anyone can come with paper/pencils, canvas/paint or whatever you have available to work from observation of the landscape in and around the Robert Frost Stone House Museum, located at 121 Vermont Rte 7a, Shaftsbury, VT 05262 The cost for the single class is $75, checks are payable to the Robert Frost House Museum.
Renée Bouchard has received grants from the Puffin Foundation, the Robert Rauschenberg Foundation and the Individual Artist Grant from Vermont Arts Council, and residencies from the Cooper Union, the Kate Millett Artist Colony for Women, and the Vermont Studio Center. Her work has been exhibited at the Vermont State House, the Bennington Museum, and Southern Vermont College. Her paintings have also been included at Big Town Gallery, Andrew Edlin Gallery, the Center for Maine Contemporary Art, UMass Amherst's Herter Gallery, UVM's Danforth Gallery and MCLA's, Gallery 51. Her work has been reviewed in Art New England, the Folk Art Messenger, and her essay "Artist/Mother/Quarantine" was published in Isele Magazine. Bouchard received her MFA in visual art from the Vermont College of Fine Arts in 2021. She also attended the Cleveland Institute of Art, and began her painting practice after graduating from the Maine College of Art in 1999. She lives with her nine year old child and dog in Vermont.
