A 19th century brick train depot was too close to the modern tracks in New Haven, VT. In order to preserve a part of history, the building was picked up and moved! Local historian, Bernard Noble, will present on the history of New Haven train depot and go into detail on the process of moving the historic building.

Bernard Noble, a resident of New Haven, VT, is a retired middle school teacher of thirty years, who taught English and History at Middlebury Union Middle School. He is a life long student of American History, with a particular passion for the Revolutionary and Civil War eras. He has self published three books outlining the lives of Addison County Civil War veterans buried in town cemeteries. Copies will be available for purchase at this presentation.

There is currently a Vermont train history display in the Kerr Room on the second floor of the Bixby. Please drop by to check it out!
