The Pete Seeger Memorial Concert will take place Thursday, August 4, 6:30 - 8:00 on the Hancock Town Green as part of Hancock's summer concert series. Musicians from the Seeger family and Camp Killooleet will participate, along with many community musicians, in a concert that celebrates Pete Seeger's music and the causes he believed in.
In this family-friendly concert there will be a number of familiar sing-along numbers for audience participation. Audience members are invited to bring a chair or blanket to sit on, and refreshments will be available from the Hancock Volunteer Fire Department and the Hancock Recreation Committee. The rain site will be the Hancock Town Hall. Next Thursday's concert, the last in the series, will have music by the Hancock Coffeehouse Singers. These free concerts are presented by the Hancock Town Pride Committee.
