On Tuesday evening, August 16th at 7:30pm, Vermont's newest vocal ensemble, Halcyon Chorale will perform for the first time at the old South Congregational Church on the campus of St. Johnsbury Academy. The group came together in June of this year with a shared vision and desire to perform the best choral music at the highest possible level. Its 16 members represent diverse musical backgrounds, including professional singers, instrumentalists, music teachers, and composers. The debut concert will feature brilliant works for mixed choir from the 16th Century to the present, including several new works by American Composers Jocelyn Hagen, and Halcyon Chorale member Mavis MacNeil.
