Kids’ Power Program
Energy Alternatives for Today’s Kids

Michael Caduto — award winning environmentalist, master storyteller and creator/

coauthor of Keepers of the Earth® — presents an entertaining new program about

renewable energy explored through science and the arts. Storytelling, images, music

and participatory experiences of today’s energy technologies engage audiences in the

process of transforming the forces of nature into energy for everyday living. This humorous

program is full of facts and activities that reveal simple ways to harness natural sources of

energy and reduce global climate change. The program features demonstrations of wind

power, solar energy and magnetic-electrical power; indigenous tales of sun & wind; fun

energy facts; a slide show on energy issues; the “Earthbeat” power song; energy ideas

for everyday life and curriculum connections. (Program co-sponsors: the NES ACCESS

Program, Green Energy Options Solar Store and The Sustainability Project.)
