Training Matters LLC in West Brattleboro is pleased to host Helen St. PIerre, CPDT-KA, CDBC, to talk about keeping children and dogs safe living together. Helen, who owns No Monkey Business Dog Training in Concord, NH, is uniquely qualified to talk on this topic. Not only does she have two children and nine dogs of her own, she also fosters senior and special needs dogs in her home, providing them with love and care until they pass. Helen is a licensed Dogs and Storks presenter and a licensed Dogs and Toddlers presenter through Family Paws, an organization that provides families with resources for dogs and children, and educates dog trainers in providing resources to dog-owning families with babies and toddlers. Helen will address common problem areas with dogs and children, present case studies of families and dogs, discuss developmental milestones of children and dogs to be considered by families, and review environmental considerations involved in managing dogs and children as well as possible.
