Community Solar Zoom Information Meeting Aug. 4

Past event
Aug 4, 2022, 7 PM

The Town of Hinesburg has partnered with the Acorn Renewable Energy Co-op to install a community solar project on the Hinesburg capped landfill within Vermont Electric Cooperative's (VEC) service territory. The goal of this project is to offer Hinesburg, and other Vermont, residents living in VEC territory access to solar energy through a community ownership model.

Acorn Renewable Energy Co-op has previously completed community solar projects in Middlebury, Shoreham, and Bristol. There will be capacity for between 40 to 50 homeowners, businesses, churches, municipalities, and not-for-profits -- all will be able to participate. Project participants will be able to see net metered credits on their VEC electric bills. You don't need to be a resident of Hinesburg to participate, but you would need to be a Vermont resident and have an electric meter in VEC's service territory.

If you would like to get the Zoom link to the August 4 session, please contact Acorn Renewable Energy Co-op coordinator Mary Mester at info@acornenergycoop.com.
