Pasture Pals

Pasture Pals is a humane education program open to all children ages six and up. This program teaches empathy, volunteerism, environmental awareness, and respect for differences while also giving children (and their adults) the opportunity to meet animals and experience the unique multi-species community at VINE.

Each session begins with a humane education lesson devised by expert elementary educators. This usually includes an exercise such as an art project or a game. After the lesson, participants get up close and personal with sanctuary residents by helping out with an easy chore, such as refilling water troughs or distributing donated fruits and vegetables. Throughout the event, children are encouraged to interact with animals at the sanctuary on their terms while learning from them.
This event is free and open to the public. All children attending Pasture Pals must be accompanied by an adult.

Every session is different, so you and your child can attend many times throughout the summer, learning something new each time.

This event is held at VINE Sanctuary, 201 Massey Rd Springfield.
