The Little (i) Music Festival is a new event in the area marking the 20th anniversary of the record label of Guilford/Brooklyn musician Jeff Lederer. There are 7 events over the 3 days beginning with Salsa legend Jimmy Bosch and friends at the Gallery Walk stage Friday night 6-9pm, "Visions of a Sound" art opening at 118 Elliot St (art of Mary LaRose/Sara Wildavsky, runs for the month of August), 2 shows by the label's flagship Christian Rock/Free Jazz band "Shakers n' Bakers" Sat Aug 6 4pm at the Bandwagon Festival on the lawn at Greenberg Architects 168 Westminster Rd in Putney, and 9pm at the Stone Church Brattleboro. On Aug 7 we begin the day with guided wordless yoga practice and live music at the 118 Elliot St Gallery, 2pm it's the "Balls of Simplicity" chamber music event featuring performance by the Morningside Tone Collective of the notated works of Jeff Lederer, and closing at 7pm it's "Agri-Culture" at Kopkind Colony off Packers Corner Road in Guilford, with a duo saxophone/drums performance by Matt Wilson/Jeff Lederer, poetry by Vermont poet Verandah Porche, and dancing in the moonlight with the "Freakuency" band.
