The Craftsbury Energy Committee is in its third year of providing firewood to those households that may not be able to afford to buy all of it.

Including the firewood we have already distributed for this upcoming winter, we have delivered over 50 cords of firewood since we started 2 years ago.

We are looking for volunteers to help cut, split, and load the wood on Saturday, 8/6, from 8 am to 1 pm.

It was an incredible effort this past May when numerous people showed up to help out! Thank You!

We have two more households to which we need to deliver firewood and we would like to have another 4 cords of firewood on hand for this winter in case someone runs out.

Log Splitters - we are also looking to borrow log splitters. If you cannot make it that Saturday with your splitter, I could pick it up and deliver it back to your residence and be responsible for it - only fresh, non-ethanol gas, for sure!

These logs were donated by the State of Vermont Department of Parks and Recreation, and Columbia Forest Products.

Hope to see you then!
