Hello Astronomers!
The skies are looking clear, and the Perseid meteors are starting to show, so come join us at the Northern Skies Observatory in Peacham (behind the Peacham School) as the Northeast Kingdom Astronomy Foundation hosts a star party / open house on the evening of Sunday, July 31! Come see the mid summer skies through our collection of telescopes and tour the Northern Skies Observatory to see how this research-grade telescope works!
The mid-summer days are long, so the observing won't really start until 10 PM, but we'll be there at 9:30 to start!
Dress for temperatures about 20 degrees colder than the thermometer says because you'll be standing around, leave your flashlights home to preserve our dark vision, and park in the Peacham school lot - the walkway will be lit.
A $5 donation is suggested! See you all!
Clear Skies!
