The Lanpher Memorial Library, Johnson Public Library, and the Lamoille Family Center present:
a FREE Story Telling Program with authors Joseph and James Bruchac on Wednesday, August 17th, at 1:00 p.m. at the Hyde Park Opera House.
For over forty years Joseph Bruchac has been creating literature and music that reflect his indigenous heritage and traditions. He is a proud Nulhegan Abenaki citizen and respected elder among his people. He is the author of more than 120 books for children and adults
James Bruchac is an award winning author, Abenaki storyteller, cultural educator, wilderness expert, and Director of The Ndakinna Education Center in Greenfield Center NY. , and citizen of the Nulhegan Abenaki Nation.
Joseph and James have collaborated on 7 books together including: "How the Chipmunk Got His Stripes" and "Turtle's Race with Beaver" (both illustrated by Jose Aruego and Arianne Dewey)
On Wednesday, August 17th at 1:00 at the Hyde Park Opera House, they will combine story telling with Native American Music with some Q & A at the end. They'll have some of their books available for purchase too.
