Amish Chicken Dinners to Benefit Baby Levi

Past event
Jul 29, 2022, 4 to 7:30 PM

There is a small community, about 20 families, of Amish folks living in Brownington. Two years ago, one of the babies in that community, named Levi, was born with complicated cardiac issues. He received excellent care at Dartmouth and Boston Children's Hospital but heartbreakingly, passed away in May. Unfortunately a small mountain of medical bills remain. The community has banded together to pay those bills and all are invited to a marvelous chicken dinner with proceeds to go to the bills left behind. The menu includes barbecue chicken, homemade baked beans, cold salads, desserts, lemonade and the best of all, homemade ice cream. The meal is totally prepared by Amish families. it will be held at 91 Old Cemetery Ln. in Brownington at the Arnolds rescue indoor arena, off Hinman Settler Road and just about a mile from the Old Stone House. Suggested donation is $16 for adults and $8 for children 12 and under. Take away dinners are available and I'm afraid cash or debit cards cannot be accepted just cash. if you can't make this month's dinner there are two more, the last Friday of each month on August 26 and September 30
