The Charlotte Democratic Committee is pleased to announce a candidate forum for the Democratic primary for the Chittenden-5 District House of Representatives seat (i.e. all of Charlotte, and Hinesburg south of Burritt Rd and west of Baldwin Rd), featuring Mike Yantachka and Chea Waters-Evans. I would also like to take a moment to apologize to both candidates for the confusion I caused and that you may have seen in an exchange on Front Porch Forum last week. In my role as chair of the Charlotte Democratic Committee, I had contacted the candidates to discuss the possibility of having a candidate forum, but I was unclear in my communication, which led to Mike thinking one thing and Chea something very different. Happy to go into the details with anyone who's curious, but in summary - I'm sorry!
