The Brownington Connects Event Committee welcomes musicians and music lovers to the inaugural "Grammar School Gathering," Thursday, August 18 at the historic Orleans Grammar School, 1530 Hinman Settler Road in Brownington (aka the Grange building).
All are invited to bring an instrument to play in a jam session between 5 and 8 p.m., as well as a covered dish to share. There is no admission fee, but donations toward costs are welcome. The goal of the gatherings is to help members of the community to get to know each other in a fun and relaxed setting.
Non musicians are welcome to sing or just enjoy the evening. Those attending should bring their own place settings and napkins. All ages are welcome; this is an alcohol free evening.
The gathering will take place every third Thursday at the school. Future Gatherings will be held on September 15, October 20, November 17 and December 15. Each month will have a theme starting in September when the theme will be garden abundance swap. For more information contact Donna Dauphinais @dmdauph@icloud.com.
