If you heard the jazz festival in the evening last week, or if you hear I 89 in the evening, you may be interested to know that the Act 250 hearing for the Virtue Field soccer stadium is on June 24th, at 4 PM in the Bostwick Room on the 2nd floor of UVM's Patrick-Forbush-Gutterson Complex.
There is a site visit at Virtue Field at 3 PM.
UVM plans to use the field 5 or 6 nights a week until 11 PM for intramural soccer and football games. Three intramural games will be played concurrently on the field.
UVM athletic events are exempt from the city noise ordinance.
While UVM has no immediate plans to use the field past 11 PM, they oppose any permit restrictions that limits the use of the field past 11 PM.
