On Monday evening, the last in a series of thought-provoking films on environmental justice will be shown at The Playhouse in Randolph.

People of A Feather: The Inuit on the Belcher Islands in Canada's Hudson Bay share their intimate knowledge of their environment through the life cycle of the Eider, a bird whose down and feathers are the warmest in the world. Climate change and the demand for the electricity produced by Hydro-Quebec are changing the habitat of the bird and the Inuit.

This film is an excellent example of the wisdom of indigenous people, and of its interface with modern science.

There will be a short introduction to the film. Afterwards, there will be time for discussion and for the consideration of what we audience members can do to support environmental justice.
